DIAGNOSTIC CARE

Digital Radiology

With digital radiology, our veterinarians can examine your dog or cat’s internal organs, as well as his or her cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and urinary systems. Our animal hospital uses digital radiology to assess your pet’s condition in greater detail compared to film radiology. Because digital x-rays have a higher image quality than film x-rays, we can provide you with more information and a more accurate diagnosis.

In addition to providing fast and accurate results, digital radiology is safer for your pet because of less time exposed to harmful radiation. Digital x-rays are also safer for the environment since there are no chemicals to contaminate the local water systems.

In-House Laboratory

Our on-site laboratory allows most screening tests to be completed within a very short period of time. We are able to perform routine fecal screenings, urinalysis, heartworm tests, complete blood counts, pre-surgical screenings and blood chemistry profiles and obtain results very quickly. We also routinely look at cells from masses to evaluate for possible underlying cancers. We do use reliable independent veterinary laboratories when needed.
